Can
a workplace help change the world? Alexion Pharmaceuticals conceived
its New Haven headquarters to epitomize the company's core values:
finding answers, creating a legacy and, yes, even changing the world.
The workplace features a multi-space "innovation café," an "Advanced Workplace Solution" concept to foster innovation, and a green-roof "science park" garden.
Curtis McLean, Senior Director, Global Real Estate, Americas, and Gordon Hurrell, Director, Global Real Estate & Facilities Management, will host a presentation and tour covering:
- The decision to relocate fr0m Cheshire to New Haven
- Designing for LEED Platinum certification
- The transition to a multi-space AWS workplace model
- Integrated facilities management: a new approach to the "customer experience"
- Lessons learned
- Feedback and Q&A (during tour)
- Open discussion
The program begins at 2 p.m., but Alexion will open the facility at 8 a.m. to those who would like to experience the environment. Wi-fi, touchdown space and the Alexion Café (visitors to cover their lunch costs) will be available.
