Chapter Named Chapter of the Year for Second Time in Five Years The chapter was excited to be named Chapter of the Year in the Small-to-Medium Chapter category. The award was announced at the 2018 Boston Summit. It was the second time in five years that the chapter was considered the best chapter in the world, and the sixth straight year in which the chapter was a finalist for the award. Chapter Leaders Make Special Delivery to The Village DEC | 2019 Incoming chapter President Scott Tibbo , of JLL, right, and outgoing chapter President Mark Nisbett , of People, Places and Spaces, delivered the toys collected at the chapter’s Dec. 12 Holiday party to Sandra Kaye Baker , Development Associate at The Village for Families & Children. Guests arrived to the beautifully renovated PepsiCo’s Smile Café for some networking, followed by Chapter President Rebecca Nolan welcoming the group. Chapter Holds First Workshop for Students and Young Leaders The chapter held the first of a planned series of educational events targeted to Connecticut and Massachusetts area college students and Young Leaders. University-Outreach Event Draws from UConn and U. of Hartford Students from the University of Connecticut and the University of Hartford joined chapter Young Leaders, chapter board members and other chapter members at a university-outreach networking event at Bear’s Smokehouse in downtown Hartford.
