Recently, our Chapter members and prospects came to an in-person program held at PepsiCo’s state of the art global headquarters facility. Guests arrived to the beautifully renovated PepsiCo’s Smile Café for some networking, followed by Chapter President Rebecca Nolan welcoming the group. The discussion was moderated by Scott Tibbo (Sireas) with a diverse panel consisting of Erica Wagner (PepsiCo), Jenya Adler (PepsiCo), Kristina Alfonso (PepsiCo) and Sajit Sankar (MasterCard). Chapter Leaders Make Special Delivery to The Village DEC | 2019 Incoming chapter President Scott Tibbo , of JLL, right, and outgoing chapter President Mark Nisbett , of People, Places and Spaces, delivered the toys collected at the chapter’s Dec. 12 Holiday party to Sandra Kaye Baker , Development Associate at The Village for Families & Children. The three gathered at All Saints Orthodox Church in Hartford, which is storing the toys temporarily because of The Village’s limited space. Chapter Named Chapter of the Year for Second Time in Five Years The chapter was excited to be named Chapter of the Year in the Small-to-Medium Chapter category. The award was announced at the 2018 Boston Summit. It was the second time in five years that the chapter was considered the best chapter in the world, and the sixth straight year in which the chapter was a finalist for the award. University-Outreach Event Draws from UConn and U. of Hartford Students from the University of Connecticut and the University of Hartford joined chapter Young Leaders, chapter board members and other chapter members at a university-outreach networking event at Bear’s Smokehouse in downtown Hartford. Some 40 people attended the Nov. 8 event, making this the largest university-outreach program that the chapter has ever organized. Chapter Earns Chapter of the Year Honors for the Second Straight Year The Connecticut Westchester chapter has been named CoreNet Global Chapter of the Year for small and medium-size chapters for an unprecedented second straight year . The award was announced at the CoreNet Global Summit in Anaheim, Calif. This marked the third time in six years that the chapter received this honor.
